THE HISTORY OF GEMSTONES

Dating back to ancient civilization, gemstones and crystals have been used and admired because of their healing properties and beauty. They were believed to have the power to help clear spiritual, mental, and physical energy blockages and balance the body, mind, and spirit. This is why when we see ancient artifacts and pictures, we see them on jewelry, amulets, statues, and more.

Many of us have been able to feel energy move within our bodies, this is called energetic vibrations. Crystals also have high energetic vibrations, which is why when used, they can aid in better mental, physical, and spiritual alignment, higher vibrations, and better energy flow. Most gemstones are natural minerals or rocks and occur in favored sites in the earth’s crust or in the gravels that result from the weathering of rocks. This is where miners find the ones that beautifully crystallized and meet the standards, that is, are sufficiently beautiful, durable, rare, and large enough to be cut into salable stones. As a class of natural objects, gemstones are exceedingly rare.

Gemstones and healing crystals also aid in connecting our conscious thoughts with our body. Thoughts are very powerful! Have ever heard the phrase “thoughts become things?” Well, they do and the more energy you focus on that thought, the more power it gains and it becomes reality. Using crystals and gemstones helps to amplify these thoughts. This is why it’s important to focus on good and the things you DO want and not the opposite. Cleansing and programming your crystals with a specific intention is important. Be sure that the crystal is one that needs to be cleansed and study the different crystals to learn about their properties and benefits. Choose the ones that speak to you and your needs. Once you understand the benefits each stone has to offer, you will be able to unlock the full potential. I have a large collection and I use them faithfully.
